Reflexive verbs: se lever, s'appeler…
Verbs with «se» for many everyday actions that English expresses without «myself».
Reflexive verbs have a pronoun that changes with the person: me, te, se, nous, vous, se.

- Je m'appelle Emma.My name is Emma. (literally: I call myself Emma)
- On se voit demain ?See you tomorrow? (literally: we see each other)
- Ils s'aiment.They love each other.
In the plural, se often means «each other»: Ils se parlent (they talk to each other).
Negative and passé composé
- Negative: Je ne me lève pas tôt.
- Passé composé, always with être: Je me suis levé(e). Elle s'est habillée.
- With an infinitive, the pronoun matches the subject: Je vais me coucher. Nous allons nous promener.
