Passé composé with être
Verbs of movement and reflexive verbs take être, and the participle agrees with the subject.
About 15 verbs, mostly of movement or change of state, plus all reflexive verbs, form the passé composé with être, not avoir.

Agreement
With être the participle agrees with the subject like an adjective: add -e for feminine, -s for plural.
