Participe présent ή adjectif verbal;
convainquant / convaincant, fatiguant / fatigant, différant / différent: ίδιος ήχος, άλλη γραφή.
Η μορφή σε -ant μπορεί να είναι μετοχή (δείχνει πράξη, δεν αλλάζει) ή ρηματικό επίθετο (δείχνει ιδιότητα, συμφωνεί όπως κάθε επίθετο).

Κριτήριο: αν έχει αντικείμενο ή συμπλήρωμα, ή αν μπορείς να το αντικαταστήσεις με «qui + ρήμα», είναι μετοχή. Αν μπορείς να βάλεις «très» μπροστά, είναι επίθετο.
