Position in the passé composé
Pas, jamais, plus, rien go before the participle. Personne goes after it:
- Je n'ai rien mangé.I didn't eat anything.
- Je n'ai jamais vu la mer.I've never seen the sea.
- Je n'ai vu personne.I didn't see anybody.
As subject
- Personne n'est venu.Nobody came.
- Rien n'est impossible.Nothing is impossible.
