Questions and negation
Question words with accents, ¿…?, and the double negative no… nada.

Question words always carry a written accent. Yes/no questions differ from statements only by intonation: ¿Hablas español?
Double negatives
When a negative word comes after the verb, no stays: No veo nada = I don't see anything (lit. I don't see nothing), No viene nadie = Nobody is coming.
- ¿De dónde eres? – Soy de Escocia.Where are you from? – I'm from Scotland.
- ¿Por qué no comes? – Porque no tengo hambre.Why aren't you eating? – Because I'm not hungry.
