Por or para?

Para for purpose and destination, por for cause, route, means and exchange.

parapor
purpose: Estudio para aprender. (in order to)cause: Lo hago por ti. (because of / for your sake)
recipient: Es para ti.route: Paseo por el parque. (through, around)
destination: Salgo para Roma.means: Te llamo por teléfono.
deadline: Para el lunes. (by Monday)time of day: Por la mañana. (in the morning)

Fixed expressions with por: por favor, por fin (at last), por ejemplo, por eso (that's why), por supuesto (of course), por cierto (by the way), por lo menos (at least).
