El subjuntivo (forma base)
Después de verbos y expresiones de exigencia o recomendación (suggest, recommend, insist, demand, require, it is essential / vital / important that), el inglés formal usa la forma base en todas las personas, sin -s y sin «do» en la negación.
- I suggest that he be present.Sugiero que esté presente.
- It is essential that she attend the meeting.Es imprescindible que asista a la reunión.
- They insisted that he not leave.Insistieron en que no se fuera.
Condicionales invertidas (formal)
