Cortesía y formulación indirecta

Would you mind…, I'm afraid…, it might be worth…, not very: el arte británico del eufemismo.

La cortesía inglesa, sobre todo la británica, se basa en lo indirecto y en la atenuación. Una frase directa, gramaticalmente correcta, puede sonar brusca.
