Matizar lo que se dice (hedging)
tend to, appear to, it would seem, arguably, to some extent: el arte de no afirmar demasiado.
En la escritura académica y profesional en inglés se evitan las afirmaciones demasiado categóricas. Se matiza con verbos, adverbios y construcciones impersonales.
