Have and have got: possession
I have a car / I've got a car, questions with do, and expressions like «have breakfast».

Have for actions
«Have» is also used in action expressions, where «have got» is impossible: have breakfast, have a shower, have a good time, have a drink. Here the continuous is possible: I'm having lunch.
