- 1 Unreal conditions: αν είχα…, θα… If I had money, I would travel / If I had studied, I would have passed.
- 2 Future perfect and probability: θα έχει φύγει θα έχω τελειώσει, and θα for guesses about the present and the past.
- 3 The passive participle: γραμμένος, κλεισμένος -μένος adjectives from verbs, with είμαι and έχω.
- 4 Less regular nouns το δάσος, το κρέας, ο καφές / οι καφέδες, η γιαγιά / οι γιαγιάδες, το γράψιμο.
- 5 Less regular adjectives: πολύς, βαθύς, ακριβής The -ύς, -ής and -ης patterns, and the very common πολύς.

- 7 Reported speech Είπε ότι…, ρώτησε αν…, μου είπε να…: Greek usually keeps the original tense.
- 8 Compound verbs and the internal augment ανέφερα, παρέδωσα, συνέβη: learned compounds, and colloquial ξανα-, παρα-.
- 9 More prepositions: κατά, παρά, προς, λόγω, μεταξύ Prepositions with the accusative and the learned ones with the genitive.
- 10 Modality: πρέπει, μπορεί, ίσως, μάλλον Obligation, possibility and probability.
