Basic prepositions: σε, από, με, για
σε + article = στο, στη, στον; and other everyday prepositions with the accusative.

| από | from, of, by | Είμαι από την Αγγλία. |
| με | with, by (means) | Πάω με το λεωφορείο. |
| για | for, about, to (destination) | Ένα δώρο για σένα. |
| χωρίς | without | Καφέ χωρίς ζάχαρη. |
| μέχρι / ως | until, up to | Μέχρι τις πέντε. |
σε merges with the definite article: σε + τον = στον, σε + την = στην, σε + το = στο, σε + τους = στους, σε + τις = στις, σε + τα = στα.
- Πάμε στην παραλία με το αυτοκίνητο.We're going to the beach by car.
- Το τρένο για τη Θεσσαλονίκη φεύγει στις δέκα.The train to Thessaloniki leaves at ten.
