The imperative

Γράψε / γράφε, μίλα / μίλησε: commands, and μην for negatives.

Irregular and very common: έλα / ελάτε (come), πες / πείτε (say), δες / δείτε (see), φάε / φάτε (eat), πιες / πιείτε (drink), βγες / βγείτε (go out), πάρε / πάρτε (take), κάτσε / κάτσετε (sit).

Negative commands

There's no negative imperative form: use μην + the να-form: Μη γράψεις! (don't write — once), Μη γράφεις! (don't write — in general), Μην ανησυχείτε! (don't worry).

  • Έλα εδώ και κάτσε μαζί μας!
    Come here and sit with us!
  • Μην ξεχάσεις τα κλειδιά σου.
    Don't forget your keys.
