Unreal conditions: αν είχα…, θα…
If I had money, I would travel / If I had studied, I would have passed.

In everyday speech the imperfect is often used for the past too: Αν το ήξερα, θα σου το έλεγα = If I had known, I would have told you.
- Αν ήμουν στη θέση σου, θα δεχόμουν τη δουλειά.If I were you, I'd accept the job.
- Αν είχαμε φύγει νωρίτερα, δεν θα είχαμε χάσει το πλοίο.If we had left earlier, we wouldn't have missed the boat.
