Word order and doubling: Το βιβλίο το διάβασα
Flexible word order, topics, and repeating the object with a pronoun.
Because case endings show who does what, Greek word order is flexible. The basic order is subject–verb–object, but other elements can be moved to the front to make them the topic.
When a known direct object is moved to the front, it's repeated with a weak pronoun: Το βιβλίο το διάβασα = The book, I've read it.
