Adjectives: agreement

Adjectives agree with the noun in gender, number and case, and usually come before it.

After a vowel, the feminine ends in -α: ωραίος → ωραία, νέος → νέα. Otherwise in -η: μεγάλος → μεγάλη.

  • Έχω ένα καινούργιο αυτοκίνητο.
    I have a new car.
  • Οι Έλληνες είναι φιλόξενοι.
    Greeks are hospitable.
